Congrats to the Grad

I needed some masculine graduation cards and think these fit the bill perfectly. I used the school colors for the background paper and ink.

The hat is inlaid so it creates interest and keeps it easy for mailing. I used the Peek A Boo Chevron inside to draw attention to the sentiment which I placed at the bottom. I need to do that more often. ~Rhonda

Congrats Grad - MIM #120

I'm just getting around to making the graduation cards that I need today! The latest Papertrey Ink MIM #120 - Overlapping Ombre inspired my creation. I used the Watercolor Wonder to create my ombre using Summer Sunrise, Orange Zest, Terracotta Tile, and Canyon Clay.

The local school colors are orange and black. I used the new Star Spangled Impression plate to add some texture. I think you can see it best in the picture up top.

A border created with the Super Star border die ran through my Xyron machine. Do you have a Xyron? I purchased it after a suggestion from Dawn McVey for another MIM. I'm so glad I got it. My hat is popped up!

Have a great week! ~Rhonda

I'm playing along with the Verve May Diva Dare. You can read about the challenge below.

Stars & Stripes May Diva Dare
This month's dare pays tribute to Diva Amber's (Stamping Scrapbooker) military service and Diva Laurie Willison's (Soapbox Creations) wonderful use of stripes on her cards.  So we're daring you to create a card using stars and/or stripes.  While the title may conjure up visions of red, white and blue any stars and stripes will do! If you're feeling pretty in pink, go for it! Just remember to use at least one Verve product on your creation!

You can't go wrong with stripes! I love them. I also used an impression plate to create some vertical play. I was hoping that it would mimic the light coming from the stars but it is a little hard to see.

Are you in that season of graduations? We have several though less than last year. We are moving into the wedding and baby shower seasons. Enjoy the weekend friends! ~Rhonda

Class of 2011

When you have a graduate, the graduate usually has lots of friends that are graduating too!!! I needed a card I could mass produce easily for the invitations that are still arriving in the mail.

The base of the card is some subway art that I created. I put each grad's full name in the center and the date of their graduation below. The graduation cap is a svg file I purchased from Sure Cuts a Lot. I tried to match the tassel to the school colors.I really like the way they turned out!!

Thanks for stopping by!!!

Let your Dream take Flight!

Today is Graduation Day at our home.  Reed is a great young man of whom we are very proud. I am amazed at how quickly the time has passed. Hug your babies cause they don't stay that way long. (Blurred the personal info)
I used a sentiment from Butterfly Dreams with Fly Away to create a great graduation card. I wish you could see the colors in person. They are a lovely gray that matches lemon tart perfectly. The papers are from a Pinkpaislee - Queen Bee paper pad.

I used SU Going Grey ink for the plane and sentiments.

A sentiment from The Graduate continues the "dream" theme on the inside. Love putting different sets together.

My PTI goodies came yesterday. I made a lined envelope to match with the new die. The WOW factor is fabulous. Sorry I don't have time to get a picture of it loaded.

Think about me tonight as I'm chaperoning the All Night Party. Square dancing, Jump Extreme, outdoor movies, and breakfast!! 200++ kids!! ~Rhonda

you DID IT!

Today was the first time to ink up Enjoy the Ride! The matching die is fabulous but what is most impressive is how well the two car images line up. The layout is based on the MojoMonday136 challenge. This is one I can see using again and again.

I used a silver spica pen to add shine to the headlights, bumper, and windshield.

Fresh Alphabet has the perfect size numbers to use for 2010 inside the Take Note dotted circle. Punch with your 1 3/4 punch and it's done.

The graduation invitations are rolling in! ~Rhonda
