Sending my Love to You

Are you leaping today?? Happy Birthday to those that finally get to add a year.

I continue playing with PTI's Rosie Posie stamp set. I used a Spellbinders Scallop circle that worked well as a die cut for this flower. I LOVE the stem die. I cut both dies into the polka dot paper and then stamped inside. The sentiment is from a Tag-It's set. The perfect flower center.

Thanks for stopping by! ~Rhonda

Do you take the Better Homes and Garden magazine?? The new March issue has the most gorgeous hexagon pillow on pg. 69. I so want to create this color combo but my Spring Rain is dry and I had trouble ordering the new one so I had to make due with the pink scheme.

The hexagon stamps in Rosie Posie are very easy to use. I played with lots of different color combos.

If you are looking for some color scheme inspiration there is actually a lot in this issue as the focus is Color Make Easy! ~ Rhonda

Thankful Thursday #8

Can you believe another Thursday has rolled around? Thankful Thursday #8 is up. I needed several cards and a format that would be easy to create again and again. A really clean and simple Thank You is the result.

I have the pleasure of featuring Elena of just ME this week. I love this card. What an elegant and feminine creation! I wanted to share some of Elena's words "i love how things are timed - i just got over a bad flu and now all 3 of my kids have it!  My hubs and i truly believe that it's important to practice thankfulness, especially during rougher times." I think that sums up so much. Count your blessings friends!

Go visit Elena to see this Choo Choo card and sweet birthday card for her daughter. So much inspiration and tons of creativity.

I would love for you to play along. Have a wonderful week everyone. I would love to feature YOU. Link up! ~Rhonda

Thankful Thursday #7

Hello Everyone!! It has been a crazy week with several things in it that I wasn't feeling to thankful about so I'm grateful that this day can be a needed reminder that I am blessed and extremely spoiled.

I used my Rosie Posie set for the 1st time. Like so many people have expressed this is really a lovely set. I think that Berry Sorbet is looking bright and cheery.

I'm honored to have Sharron from On Papillon Wings as my featured stamper this week. We met through the PTI Forum and became PTI Peeps together.  Sharron is beautiful inside and out. She has created a beautiful butterfly card. I love the pearls that make the butterfly body.  I also LOVE this card and this one too. Lots of inspiration On Papillon Wings. Go see what she is doing.

Can play along with Thankful Thursday. I hope you are counting your blessings. ~Rhonda

A B C

I am taking another on-line class from Jessica Sprague called The Art of Poster Design. Our 1st assignment was this ABC typography project. My project is a gift for a yet to be born baby with the initials of JEO hence those letters are highlighted. My Photoshop skills have improved greatly through Jessica's classes.

Don't you LOVE these fonts?

I can't wait to see what other projects are planned! ~Rhonda

i love . . .

I am finally at an end of Valentine cards and projects. I hope you can stand one more. I made lots of M&M sticks last year here and really didn't plan I making any this year but I got a wild hair and well you know how that goes. I wanted to do something for the high school girls at church that I work with.

I used PTI's limitless layer dies and Verve's Love Notes for the sentiment and heart.

A big bag of M&M's makes 56 sticks. I was too late to find the bags of red and white but I don't thing anyone will mind.

I also made 2 more last minute cards.

Are u going out tonight? We are staying in. I'm making pasta with pink sauce. I stopped by Central Market earlier and picked up an assortment of lovely chocolate desserts. Have a great Valentine's Day everyone!!! ~ Rhonda

More Valentines

Day 7 of PTI's Anniversary Celebration is happening today. We are to create a project that incorporates hearts into it's design. I just happen to have a card ready to go for this one.

I made this card especially for a little girl named Chloe. I'm sure you can see her name on the heart using the Fresh Alphabet stamps. I choose to use the circle die stripe (can anyone tell the name of this one, I tried looking on the new website and can't find it) and the Sunshine Impression plate.

I love to cut lots of the die shape with the bottom colors being different to give dimension. This heart is Verve's Jotted Heart die. I love this shape. A little twine from The Twinery and all is good.

Hope you are having a great day. We were supposed to have a church workday but it is sooo cold here that it was canceled. A little more time to get inky! ~Rhonda

Thankful Thursday #6

Just a quick post today. Everyone is busy playing along with PTI's Anniversary Events. Next week I'll have a featured Stamper again too. Hope your week is going well. Mine is going faster than a speeding bullet!

Happy Day Friends!! ~Rhonda

the Happiest of Birthdays - Dawn's digi image

One more digi image project today and then I have to focus of the rest of life. This image is Dawn McVey's. I love the mix of fonts. Can you tell I have also rediscovered the background stamps?? I never used them much but that is changing.

Doesn't Raspberry Fizz make you HAPPY!! Have a great day everyone! ~Rhonda

Edited to add: Karen at Little Scrap Pieces is having a pink challenge at her blog. I added my little birthday card. Thanks for letting me know Karen.

for you . . . from me

Today is the first celebration day of Papertrey Ink's 5th Anniversary!!! The challenge was to use the inspiration of the design team for a project.

I was all over the place in designing this bag. My craft table looks like a bomb went OFF! I loved Danielle's glassine invitations and Melissa's new project using her favorite things. I think that is what inspiration is ALL about. You see all the designs and your brain starts spinning and then you just get busy.

I'm thankful for each of the creative Design Team members that share a part of themselves with me each day. I have learned and stretched and enjoyed it so much!! Happy Anniversary PTI! ~Rhonda

Thankful Thursday #5

I'm so late on posting my TT #5. I have been busy shipping orders for stamps that I was selling.

Thankful Thursday #5. I have a set of cards for this week. I'm trying to build a healthy stockpile of cards so whenever I create the idea is to make several using the same items. I do tend to get bored easily so I change the layout in some manner.

All of these used the Mat Stack #5 collection from PTI. Cutting them out and embossing all at once makes the process faster.

One card gets twine in a horizontal layout and another goes vertical. Have you noticed all the twine I have been using??? LOVE The Twinery. This color is Buttercream.

Did some machine stitching on a couple. . . I'm sure you get the picture.

My card this week is being sent to a friend that opened her home for a Gone With the Wind movie night. I am not sure when I saw this film last but it was a fun evening. Love the dresses and that Scarlett is quite the girl.

Would love for you to play along. ~Rhonda

XOXO

Happy February!!! Can you believe it? Not sure about you but I'm finding I need to be much more intentional with my time. The time is speeding by and then those "projects" don't happen. What do you need to accomplish in February??

My card today is simple but I LOVE it. The heart is the Jotted Heart die from Verve as well as the XOXO stamp.

Did you notice that my heart is about 4 layers deep? You will be seeing this a lot from me. I like the depth without using pop dots. By making the bottom layers another color you get the added pop of color that sings!

Would love to know what projects you are working on in February. Thanks for stopping by!! ~Rhonda
