Papertrey Blop Hop

The challenge is to show off any skills you might have learned from a fellow stamper, and perhaps even give them a little shout out to thank them for the inspiration they have provided.  Create a project using one of your favorite learned skills and perhaps after a little blog hopping, we will ALL learn some new tips and tricks and continue to pass on the love of this hobby!

The best thing I've learned is to rely on sketches to get the creativity going. Often times it gets changed so much it no longer matches but the jumping off point is important. I like Mish's recent idea of hanging up some of your favorites cards and CASing yourself! Though I'd rather CASe Mish!!!

I'm using a sketch from Mojo Monday for this card.

I am loving the new Framed stamp set. I keep finding more sentiments that fit. I ultimately used the sentiment from Fillable Frames #7 but sentiments from 2009 Autumn Tags work as well.

Well, I met up with Sue for a day of stamping and came away with ONLY ONE completed project!!! We were having too much fun shopping the scrapbook store then enabling the staff at said store with Papertrey goodies. They are placing their own order today.

I did came home with a lot of things that I will use for future projects. Such as the "brick and wooden floor" embossed paper that we made with the foundant plates.

I picked up some more Cosmo Cricket mini decks. I love this paper! I also used a Cricut for the 1st time!!! Can I just say addicting? What do you think about skulls in the friendship jars? and a raven on top?

Home Decor

I mentioned the other day that I had unpacked the fall decor and had purchased some of the tall glass containers that I'm seeing everywhere. The big decision was deciding what to fill them with and NOT spend any money. I used pine cones, white beans, and flowers.

For a little Halloween whimsy I added the black birds.

The finishing touch is the owl I downloaded from the Graphics Fairy that I printed on vellum.

Thanks for visiting today! ~ Rhonda

happy Harvest

Today's card is digi hybrid happiness! Fabulous paper + funky frame +  fun sketch = Spectacular Creation.

The sketch is based on the new site Papercraft Star here. I love that your peers can vote on which projects they love!

It's always about the details. Cutting the grid paper to match the curve of the frame and then the DP squares on the inside to match as well worked well. Do you love the frame with the owl? You can get it from Lindsay Jane's blog here

Pop dots were needed for dimension of the pumpkin. I am loving this paper lots.

Just had to share a picture of the twine sampler pack I received from The Twinery. 15 yds each of 8 wonderful colors.

Just a reminder - The magazine giveaway is open for a couple more days. Thanks for stopping by! ~Rhonda

Paper: Echo Park - Apothecary Paper Pack and Elements; PTI blk;

Scary!

Just a reminder that I'm giving away the current Papercrafts magazine to someone. Scroll down.

Scary!! not really! I love today's card. This is the 1st time to ink up the Friendship Jars. My design is based on Unscripted Sketches. I really like the sparkle from the Silver Spica pen.

I found a new favorite paper for fall. They are digital papers and elements from Echo Park. I found them at Jessica Spray's site. They are a One Buck Wednesday feature. They are on sale until midnight today. I scaled them down for card making.

B O O

I'm enjoying the "thought" of FALL! It's still in the 90's here. I unpacked my fall items for the house and went to work getting everything set up. Have you seen all the decorating being done with the tall glass canisters? Well . . . Hobby Lobby had them 50% off so I had to have some.

Today's card has me tickled. Can you imagine pulling up to this driver on the road??? I used the ghost from PTI's Tiny Treats: Halloween. The pumpkin on top is from the Fall Jar Fillers set.

As you can see PTI's Simple Alphabet is the perfect size for the license plate.

Almost the weekend. Do you have big plans? ~ Rhonda

Tag: You're IT! Papertrey Peeps Challenge #16

I am hosting the newest Papertrey Peeps Challenge #16 here. If you have seen several of my lastest posts you might notice that I like tags. The challenge is to create a tag with an emphasis on sentiments. Hope you will play along too!!

A little sneak peak! Wonder how many different sentiments on a theme you have?

Hope you have time to get inky this week! ~ Rhonda

When I count my blessings . . .

I'm so thankful to the many people I have met through blogging. My cards today were inspired by Dana's post here. They also qualify for the newest Shabby Tea Room and Papertrey Peep challenge by Angy here. I had so much fun creating them. I got carried away making the tags.

I love this trio! Do you have a rickrack die? It's a must have. I love being able to make skinny or wide with the same die. I loved putting rickrack behind the tag and then matching the line with a different size on the tag front. FUN!

I rubbed the versamark ink on the card base to bring out the linen impression plate. It is a little hard to see.

Can't you see the tag on a kraft bag with yellow and orange tissue?

I would have never guessed that a big circle would provide the weight needed to balance this card.

Have a wonderful week friends! ~Rhonda
