Thankful Thursday #22

Thankful Thursdays are my opportunity to "Up My Gratitude." The goal is to make at least one card a week to thank someone. I LOVE when you play along by linking up below.

Life is sooooo busy!!! Is it crazy at your house?? My card is based on Dawn Easton's card that I saw on pinterest (not to busy to spend some time there) Wink!!!

Hope you are having a fabulous week!!! We are getting a little rain! ~Rhonda

Papertrey May Blog Hop - Hi!

I loved the inspiration photo for this month's PTI Blog Hop. You can play along by going here. The contrast is striking and oh so bold!! Can you imagine the kitchen that this would set in??? Country Gorgeous I'm telling you.

I thought I would try to emulate the colors and bold feeling. This was also perfect for the current MIM - mixing pattern paper.

Can you say LOVE the new Simple Stripes Impression plate!!!! I will use this so much! Using dies to cut the sentiment is just fun.

Here is a pic of the supplies I used. Seemed simpler than listing everything out!! The paper is pb&j from Crate Paper.

Happy Hopping Everyone!! ~Rhonda

Thankful Thursday #21

Thankful Thursdays are my opportunity to "Up My Gratitude." The goal is to make at least one card a week to thank someone. I LOVE when you play along by linking up below.

My card is based on the MOJO Monday #242 sketch and I'm also playing along with PTI's MIM - mixing pattern paper.

I received some new goodies on Monday! I love the cute phone from PTI's Heart 2 Heart #4. Did you ever buy the clear epoxy circles? They are a perfect fit for the sweet heart in the middle. I think it adds great interest to the phone.

The MIM is ALL about scale. As I was looking through some of my paper packs I was surprised that several did not have any small scale patterns and consequently that explained why I was having a hard time using these papers. Something just didn't feel right when I pulled the paper together. What a great AH HA moment.

Did you notice the cloud die being used as conversation bubbles??

The inside of my card says . . . Just wanted to say Thank you!!

Hope you are having a great week. Thanks so much for stopping by! ~Rhonda

{happy biRthDay}

Yesterday my "baby" turned 18!!! I had a card design in my head and I can say that it DIDN'T happen!! :) I had plans to cut out an 18 with my Cricut but much to my dismay the power cord that Ryker and I looked at last month and couldn't figure out what it went to .... well you can guess the rest of the story. I ordered another one that should arrive next week.

Hug your babies ladies!! They grow up too fast!! Rhonda

I almost didn't get a Thank You card completed this week!!! It just would NOT come together. I started pulling pieces that I had left over from my Mom's Mother's Day card and it worked.

Love the PTI Pattern Paper packs! Larger than Life dies with framed out #3 complete the look. Mister Huey mists can cover lots of things - just saying! :)

Hope you are having a great week Friend!! Thanks for stopping by. ~Rhonda

Hello Friend - Mojo Monday #240

I'm playing along with the Mojo Monday #240 sketch. This is my second card made from this one. I like it a lot though I have yet to "follow it" too closely. May have to try again!! :)

I am still using my Studio Calico 35 MM kit for the papers. My previous post has the link to this kit if you are interested. I love all the graphic patterns. Did you happen to pick up Washi tape from Target? Perfect color for this card. Can't beat the $4 for 4 rolls.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Mother's Day Sunday!! Enjoy time with your family. ~Rhonda

I received my Studio Calico 35 MM kit in the mail. This was my 1st time to order one. Lots of pretty paper and embellishments. My card is inspired by the Mojo Monday #240 sketch. I moved things around just a little.

I am loving my Mr. Huey mists (water cooler on the tag). I used stamps from PTI - Tweet Talk and Trendy Tree Tops.

Thanks so much for stopping by! ~Rhonda

Be Joyful in Hope - Mojo Monday #239

I'm playing along with the Mojo Monday #239 sketch this week. I'm just getting linked in time.

I have some new to me paper from BasicGrey called Out of Print. Wonderful patterns and solids are in this little 6x6 pad. I am using some Washi tape that I purchased from Pick Your Plum to create the contrast to this busy number. The flower on the tag is from PTI Beautiful Blooms that I die cut from Shrinky Dink.

Hope you had a wonderful weekend. ~Rhonda

I think I've mentioned that I love PTI's mat stack #4 but after watching Nicole Heady's MIM where she combined it with fillable frames #10, I am in die heaven. LOVE the two together. They are a perfect complement. I am really trying to play with mixing sentiments from various sets together. Flutterby Friend and Flower Fusion were used on this card.

The sentiment on this card is from Fillable Frames and Inside & Out: Thank You.

I went to Archiver's while in Austin last week. BAD IDEA!!! for my bank account. Several 6x6 paper pads and Mister Huey mists jumped in my cart. I am really liking the new Crate Paper lines. The paper matches lots of PTI colors in case you might be wondering!

Thank someone this week. You know it will make their day! ~Rhonda

Friend card:
stamps: Flutterby Friend, Flower Fusion,
ink: PTI Ocean Tides; Versamark
paper: Crate Paper - Story Teller; PTI Soft Stone
other: PTI Fillable Frame #10 die, Mat Stack #4 die; Canyon Clay ribbon

Many Thanks:
stamps: fillable frames #10, flutterby friend, inside & out: thank you, beautiful blooms II,
ink: PTI Ocean Tides, Canyon Clay
paper: Crate Paper - Story Teller; PTI Soft Stone
other: PTI Beautiful Blooms II dies, Fillable Frames #10, Mat Stack #4, twine; Target - washi tape; buttons - stash

Dreams - Mat Stack #4

Do you like this combo better? It certainly photographs better!! See the other combo here. The sentiment is from Verve.

I like my "yarn" at the top. Just a couple of holes at the top created this fun look.

I am slowly building up my collection of mat stack dies and their corresponding larger layers. Mat Stack #4 is my favorite. What's yours?

Thanks for visiting friends! ~Rhonda

Flea Market Fabulous #3

We have been remodeling our home so I was looking for some pieces for our new bookcases/entertainment center. We have gone a little more modern and the wood is very dark so I needed some lighter things as well as bringing in some metal elements. I also wanted things that mean something to us.

My husband is in the banking industry so when I saw these little metal banks I thought they would be perfect.

I enjoy photography, though I need to learn so much more. This little camera was too cute to pass up. It actually works.

These pieces are my ode to boys. As the only girl in the house, unless you count the dog, it seemed appropriate to have a cool motor and this wonderful wood gear.

I'm always a sucker for plants. These geraniums were $13. A real steal. They filled a couple of pots very nicely. Picked up a couple of cactus as well.

My largest purchase was this metal gate. We had a real door for one of our gate entrances but it needed to be replaced so this jewel is perfect.

I love peeking through the gate. It feels kinda magical.

I hope you have enjoyed my flea finds!!! If you ever get the chance to go - JUMP!! ~Rhonda
