Papertrey Ink's Make It Monday #62 is all about the process! I love this week's video. We are to feature two cards in a step out style like Betsy's.
I chose to use the Mat Stack #4 stamp set as my focus. I got ALL the stamps out and starting playing to create some kind of background. I also made myself use the Fine Linen paper. I have never felt comfortable with this color but the Fine Linen ink is changing my mind! Can you see the impact that it makes on the top half of the 2nd card? I used the Grunge Me set to create the depth that Betsy referred to. Night and Day difference!!
The first card is very simple with a basic stamp border and a die cut raised with some foam for a little dimension.
The second card has a few more layers and details. I added a larger border and placed the images closer together for more impact. The top half is a great background created with the Grunge Me set in Fine Linen ink. The sentiment from Verve's Words of Wisdom is three layers deep. Can you see the 1 3/4" oval die for the sentiment?
The hearts on top are "leftovers" from the heart border die that I used to create the little scallops behind the polka dot paper. I dipped them in clear embossing powder for some SHINE!
Have a great week!!~Rhonda

ReplyDeleteGreat cards. I love how you added the pattern paper as a border and stamped the top background in the 2nd card. Great take on the challenge.
