Thankful Thursday #26

Thankful Thursdays are my opportunity to "Up My Gratitude." The goal is to make at least one card a week to thank someone. I LOVE when you play along by linking up below.

Hi Everyone!!! Hope your week is going well. After my mission trip last week, I have lots of people that I need to send a thank you. My card relies on pretty pattern paper for the design. It is a Fancy Pants paper pad called Summer's End.

On the orange paper I used the Text Impression Plate. If you enlarge the picture you can see the texture.

I got to use a jackhammer last week. It was fun but I needed a little help from the guys.

Have a great week friends!! ~Rhonda

Thankful Thursday #25

Hi Friends, No card today but I hope you keep reading. it's currently early in the morning and I'm in a room with wall to wall mattresses and cots. 50 High School girls! I am blessed beyond measure to be able to share in their lives. If you have teenagers or the little ones, HUG them tight. it is a different world from my teen years. So much brokenness. If you feel that gentle nudge prompting you to connect with a teen, I pray you ACT! We are helping seniors, etc with painting, wheelchair ramps, basketball goals for a community, and many more. I hope it your kids get the opportunity to do something like this you send them. Have a wonderful week. ~Rhonda

They say it's your birthday!

Today is the day! I'm FIFTY -   5 zero  -  50!!! I'm having a birthday bash tonight to celebrate. Want to join the party??? I wish ALL of you could come.

We are catering fajitas and enchiladas. Opening the wine and eating LOTS of dessert. Just not sure how I'm going to sneak out to order the new Papertrey goodies! but it's my party and I'll do what I wanna!!! wink

So much happening around here. My parents will be here for my birthday and then we get to celebrate Father's Day too. Next week I am an Adult Leader for the High School Mission trip! Have a great weekend friends!!! Busy times ahead. ~Rhonda

Thankful Thursday #24

Geezzzz Thursdays are sneaking up on me. I can't believe how fast the weeks are going by. Today's card is ALL about the background. I used TCW 6x6 Mini Love Beads template and then started spraying the Mister Huey's mists. It was so much fun.

The colors I used were Taxi (yellow), Boss Lady (pink), Passport (gray), and the Shine. I tried to get the shine in the picture. Where I sprayed heavily it made the coolest texture.

The little frame and sentiment are from PTI's Framed Out #1 AND #2. I appreciate everyone leaving me some great tips for using the mists on a previous post. I'm going to try them all.

Have a great week! ~Rhonda

Lovely Lady

Do you like getting LARGE boxes in the mail??? I DO! This box was waiting for me when I arrived home today.

This Lovely Lady is my Mother's Day gift. REGAL and REALLY heavy. I LOVE HER!!!! Can you guess where I found her? Pinterest of course. She is from Stoneface Creations.

Doesn't she look fabulous in my family room? but alas she is destined for the great outdoors.

I styled her hair this evening. A little wavy green for body and a sedum for bangs and she is ready to go out on the town table. I think that occasionally she will need to change her style.

I think she NEEDS a name! If you have suggestions, please leave them in the comments. I'll let you know what we decide. ~Rhonda

I'm pulling for you

I fell in love with this stamp set during the recent PTI blog hop.  Kelly used this set on an adorable card that cleverly used the bloom builders #3 die as a GEAR! I ordered the set from Technique Tuesday that same day. The first card is a direct CASE. I think I like Kelly's more solid color gears better--guess I will have to keep using this set. :)

I love the slightly grunge feel that the second card has. The polka dot washi tape actually hides a boo boo that turned out inspiring. Decided to stamp the sentiment all over (stamped off first).

Hope you are having a blessed week Friends!! ~Rhonda

supplies used:
stamps: Technique Tuesday - Pulling for You
ink: Memento - Tuxedo Black, PTI Pure Poppy, Chai
paper: PTI - Stampers Select White, Pure Poppy; Basic Grey - Basics White Paper Pad
other: Washi tape from Pick your Plum

Thankful Thursday #23

Thankful Thursdays are my opportunity to "Up My Gratitude." The goal is to make at least one card a week to thank someone. I LOVE when you play along by linking up below.

Are you creating you own sketch yet???? Papertrey's MIM is all about the sketch. I haven't had time to create my own but love learning through Nicole's thought process. I choose to use one of the sketch's from the download.

I went a little overboard with my Mister Huey mist. It is sooo hard to control what comes out. Does anyone have some tips??

The papers are scraps from the last several weeks that worked well together. Always feels GREAT to actually use them.

Hope you find time to thank someone this week!! ~Rhonda

supplies used:
stamps: PTI Think Big
ink: PTI Aqua Mist
paper: various from stash; PTI - stampers select white
other: The Twinery - Caribbean; Mister Huey's Color Mists - Water Cooler

Just Start

I'm playing along with the Mojo Monday #244 sketch. The Go Confidently in the direction of your Dreams is from Verve's Words of Wisdom set. This sentiment is one of my favorites and I often reach for it. I like that I can use it for a graduation or encouraging a friend.- male or female.

Not sure if you can see the detail the impression plate gives to the aqua mist. The top picture is a little better for seeing the detail. Hope you are getting inky this week!!! ~Rhonda

paper: Basic Grey - pb&j (one of my FAVORITE paper pads currently) PTI - Stampers Select White, Aqua Mist

Happy Birthday Dad!

Today is my Dad's birthday! He is a Limited Edition and One of a Kind! I put the card in the mail yesterday so I'm hoping it arrives in time. I used one of the MIM sketches as my inspiration for this card. You can get all the details here.

I used the Blue Striped Washi tape to bring the blue in. It matches Blueberry Sky perfectly. I cut the blue pinked edge with the limitless layers 2 1/2" and then used the new Simple Stripes impression plate for the added texture.

Does it feel like summer at your house yet?? It is REALLY feeling like it at my house. Our main air conditioner decided to go OUT! ~Rhonda
