Sending Birthday Wishes to You! MIM#117

I am playing along with this week's MIM #117 Paper Piecing with Melissa Phillips.  I used the Fancy Folk Art stamps set and several different pattern papers from October Afternoon - Thrift Shop. But my favorite part about this card is the embossed outside shape of the flowers. I hope you can see it. It adds so much to the card front. I also paper pieced the banner for the sentiment.

The Simple Stripes Impression plate and the Edgers #3 die were the perfect finishing touches. Hope you get to play along this week.

  1. I can see the embossing very well Rhonda...this is such a great card, love the edge you put on the white panel and all that great patterned paper you used. This is a stamp set that somehow I must have missed...I really like it!

  3. I love, love, LOVE this card! The paper piecing is fantastic...I especially love how you paper pieced the banner...it kind of makes me think that this banner should always be paper pieced. And I think the embossing, impression plate, and edgers dies make this card extra fabulous, too.
