Trick or Treat

I made this great Trick or Treat banner for my mantle. It was a nice change from cards! I used a lot of my ribbon scraps to tie between the letters. You might also spot the spider web from Friendship Jar Fillers: Fall. 


This was a hydrid project from Jessica Sprague's website.


Are you dressing up for Halloween? I think this will be the 1st year that no one is trick or treating from my house!!! How am I going to get my Butterfinger fix?????

I am loving the new Framed stamp set from PTI. Take a look at this quick and easy thank you. This card is sized to fit in a 4x4 envelope. 

Stamp the frame and sentiment. Add a die cut of felt and it is ready to go!

I'm catching up with a Papertrey Peep challenge that was issued in August. Make something using RED, YELLOW and CREAM with at least a dollop of WHITE! That was the challenge issued by Papertrey Peep Sharron. Weeeellllll .... I tried to stay in the boundaries but white just didn't have enough contrast so I added the pop of black. I like it very much!!

I have put together a couple of World Card Making Day challenges into this card. The sketch is based on Unscripted Sketches #75 and My Favorite Things - use a die-namics die on the project. 

MFT is participating in the "Hope You Can Cling To" card drive for breast cancer so I'll be sending this card to MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. My MIL lost her battle with breast cancer in March. She was a 30+ yr survivor.

Quote Frame and Cherry on Top

This card was inspired by the recent Papertrey Ink Blog Hop. Jennifer Holmes created a card that utilized the mat stack die and fillable frame die. I fell in LOVE! so I had to try it.

I like this quote and it fit perfectly. I used my bow easy to create a perfect bow. I mistakenly put the glue dot on the wrong side so my polka dot tails are facing down but decided to let it go.



then My friends Sue Ann and Nerina gave me the Cherry on Top award ~~  They made my week!!!!


I can always count on these ladies for encouragement and great inspiration. They were some of the 1st ladies "I met" when I started this blogging adventure. Sue Ann and Nerina plant seeds each day for which I'm thankful.
 
 ...... 

And now I am suppose to share a photo and tell you something about myself . . .

 I'm one of those people that if you talk about everything medical such as needles, etc I pass out!! COLD!!! it always made it a little awkward taking the boys to get shots! HA!


For a picture I thought I'd show you my Friday garage sale find. Check out this wonderful rug that I picked up for $80. It was perfect for my dining room.

Nadine was one of the 1st people to welcome me on the Papertrey Ink Forum. Do you know that awkward feeling when you are posting and it seems like no one knows you and doesn't comment back? I love her creations and strong spirit.

Heather whose style is so recognizable and fabulous. When I was starting my blog, she kindly answered my tons of questions.

Terri whose use of templates makes me want to jump on the Cricut bandwagon.

What do you do when the challenge is Let's Play Dress Up and your stamps don't have anything to wear???? The MFT Wednesday Stamp challenge wants a card featuring someone dressing up. I combined TWO Pure Innocence images with a digi pumpkin. The body is Being Cute is What I Do and the "arms" are from Sunshiny Day upside down.

I had a blast making this card. If you could have been a fly on the wall . . . you would have been laughing! Trying to get the impression plates to fit and line up were a challenge. I really like the finished look. My new favorite set - Framed - worked great to pull it all together.


I used my Copic Markers to color the images and popped Frankenstein up and out.
