Last week was my 2nd Annual High School Girly Event for our Youth Group Girls. Our theme was Love. Everyone did a Love Assessment. If you aren't familiar with Love Languages you should check out the books written by Gary Chapman & Ross Campbell. You should spot a few hearts used in the decor.
My dear friend Robin came over the night before to set up for the event. We were whacking on my shrubs in the dark to hang in the chandeliers. I used PTI's Limitless Layers: Hearts cut from kraft to hang from the branches.
We used mismatched plates with silver charges and white napkins that we tied with tiny tags stamped with different words. So cute and super easy!
Old books, mason jars filled with roses, phlox, and crepe myrtle flowers and candles on vintage lace table clothes = perfect.
Dinner was chicken salad, quiche, vegtables, and fruit served on silver trays. Lemonade and tea complete with sugar cubes which I think was a first for many of the girls completed the party atmosphere.
BUT WAIT!! Don't forget dessert. A cupcake bar, complete with little flags for the cupcakes made with the double ended banner die and the little hearts that were left over from the tiny tags.
White and chocolate cupcakes in the polka dotted liners with different kinds of frosting, sprinkles, and crushed Oreos.
We had a lovely evening. Just in cause you are wondering, my love language is words of affirmation and acts of service!! What about you? ~Rhonda
