Friend (SHIP)

Another HOT day in Texas! We reached a 110 degrees yesterday. We are still in the midst of remodeling but I managed to play along with Verve's 1st August sketch challenge

Can I just tell you I'm happy with this card. I tried a couple of new techniques for me, mixed the colors up a little, and had fun.

I love 'friend" embossed behind the ship and then rubbed with spring rain ink.

I used the impression plate above and below my score line. On the next picture I added the friend tag. Which way do you prefer????

I'm off to get some sweet tea!! Stay cool friends!

supplies:
stamps: Verve Text Objects
paper: PTI Funky Town paper pad, Stampers Select White, Hawaiian Shores; My Minds Eye - Abbey Road
ink: PTI Spring Rain; Versamark

  2. Excellent card! Love the Hawaiian Shores with all the texture on it. Great medallion! I like both versions but if pressed I would leave the little tag off. Keep cool as possible. So sorry for all the Texans with this unbearable heat and drought you are facing.

  3. Fabulous, Rhonda, love them both! The colors are wonderful. Great details on both and I think I like the added little tag. Hope you get a break in the weather soon. It finally rained here and even though it's still over 100, it is expected to be in the 90s next week. Try to stay cool! HUGS!
