Time to Bloom

The flowers at my house are blooming! so is the water bill! :) actually we have a water well for that purpose or we'd be looking at a lot of brown grass.

The sketch is from Mojo Monday #150 and the theme is Floral Frenzy for the MFT guest designer challenge. The Pure Innocence image is Happy Mail. I cut the mailbox off to give a little more versatility. Do you see the ruffled ribbon at the bottom of her dress??? CUTE! I love paper piecing the dresses. It takes me back to paper-dolls.

I made an accordion flower using this tutorial. It was easy. I cut my paper strips 3/4". Next time I would do 1/2" so that it sets a little lower.

Have a marvelous day! ~Rhonda

supplies used:
stamps: MFT Pure Innocence Happy Mail, Who's that Garden Girl; SU Friendships Grow
paper: Cosmo Cricket - Garden Variety, Material Girl, SU - Crushed Curry, PTI - Dark Choc, Vintage Cream,
ink: Memento Rich Cocoa
other: Copic markers, PTI Hawaiian Shores ribbon, Aqua Mist button, corner chomper, PTI lg scallop die, Hobby Lobby - ruffled ribbon

  7. Rhonda, I love how you altered the PI image. Her dress is adorable with the ruffle. I am so addicted to PI images and agree it is kind of like playing with paper dolls to paper piece and decorate her clothes.

So hot here too--105 today! I have been watering and watering and unfortunately have to use city water so hate to think of the bill!!
