Papertrey Hop Time!!! Challenge - FELT!! I wanted to do something besides a card so I choose to make a little pin cushion. 

The Spellbinders Labels One and Papertrey Ink Beautiful Bloom dies cut through the felt like butter as we say. I used Vintage Labels stamped in Fresh Snow ink to add some definition to the felt.

Raspberry Fizz felt for the flowers topped with a matching button!

I created a CAS card for the CAS-tastic Challenge.CAS in the simplest of terms means Clean and Simple. The challenge this week is do to a one layer card. The anniversary set from Papertrey Ink - Round and Round was perfect!! 

Vintage cream cardstock, plum pudding ink and ribbon, and a little butterfly punch finished this card quickly.

Today is Graduation Day at our home.  Reed is a great young man of whom we are very proud. I am amazed at how quickly the time has passed. Hug your babies cause they don't stay that way long. (Blurred the personal info)

My PTI goodies came yesterday. I made a lined envelope to match with the new die. The WOW factor is fabulous. Sorry I don't have time to get a picture of it loaded.

A duo today using Papertrey Ink's Round and Round. So many possibilities with this set. The stripe paper is part of the Color Couture products from Papertrey Ink.

Do you love impression plates??? They really increase the WOW factor. The mat stack die saves so much time by letting you create large focal points easily.

I have to love this card! My oldest son had the following comment, "I think your cards are starting to look more professional.  I really like this one." Out of the mouth of teenage boys!! But seriously I think we all want to improve our craft.

A quick card that uses the Beautiful Blooms II dies to create a background paper of sorts. The pattern paper is part of the Color Couture line from Papertrey Ink. It is supposed to match Spring Rain but my printer didn't translate the match. Anyone else have that problem? a solution? anyone? 

Well, today my son Ryker turns 16!! I would like to wish him Happy Birthday but he will have to wake up first! He hopes to take his driver test next week. Ryker would like to work on parallel parking just a little more.

My first card is for him and the second one has a spot for a friend's birthday. I will just need to "fill in" the age. My inspiration came from Melissa to use the car as a background paper. Love this. Thanks Melissa!

How many Domestic Goddesses are in the house today??? I fell in love with this stamp set. The sentiments are fun and several are brilliantly sarcastic. I love the retro look though I don't remember a wall clock like this. 

Copic Markers made this easy to finish. Don't you love her teased hair!!! I'm thankful that I'm not tied to a phone cord anymore.

Terri challenged the Papertrey Peeps to use a template as the base of a project. I struggle with templates. They never still to work for me but I found one that is super easy. It took 5 minutes to create! A desktop caddy. I followed this tutorial.

I turned mine into a vase for Knockout Roses from my garden. I inserted a Solo cup that I trimmed and actually used a flower frog for its intended purpose.

 

I adhered two 12x12 papers together so the inside would be pretty as well. A great sentiment and it was complete.

Can you believe it's already time for Mother's Day? 2010 is going by so quickly! 

Nerina has issued a new challenge for the Papertrey Peeps - #7 An Inspiring Life. We were to visit A Creative Mint .... select a photo that inspired us and start creating!! I choose a fairly recent photo taken on April 25th. The colors are stunning! I would love to have this beautiful bouquet in my home.

I choose to pick up the pinks and a touch of purple is my tissue paper flower. Just like the different colors of pink roses, I used several different pink papers. I had some difficulty photographing the pinks. They are lighter in person.

Silver embossing powder, Viva silver pearl dots, and a touch of silver in the flower continued the classy feel.

Creating my own background papers using sandable cardstock and impression plates is so much fun!! You need to try this.

Have you ever used Core'dination cardstock? I had not! Caardvarks has teamed with the Core'dination team with a challenge to create a monochromatic card.You don't have to use the sandable card stock but I had been dying to try some.

I used a Spellbinder Impressibility - Flowers and a Papertrey impression plate - Picnic Plaid to create the gorgeous light blue background paper. Sanding was easy and the results, stunning. As I wanted to see this pretty paper, I choose to keep the rest of the card simple.

Well, yesterday was a full day. I went garage sale hunting and found an addition for my stamping studio. A CD holder that spins and fits perfectly on my work table. It will hold 88 stamp CD's. The bottom was designed for VCR tapes so my re-inkers and acrylic blocks fit nicely in this space. I believe this is the best $4 I've spent.

My sweet husband turned 51 as well. We went strawberry picking. 30 lbs!!! We ate angel food cake with chocolate syrup, cool whip, and strawberries. Now I know spring has arrived.
