Papertrey Blop Hop Challenge

This month's Blog Hop Challenge is to create a quick & inexpensive wrap or tag that can be the perfect solution for "grab & go" gifts!

There is nothing easier than a gift bag! I decided to use the sentiments from PTI's Mixed Messages, Holiday Tree, and 2009 Holiday Tag Collection as well as some of the snowflakes.  I put the senitments on a large block and then stamped the image "twice" to make a long rectangle. Centered on SU - Real Red cardstock and you are ready to go. I also made a matching card that was so simple.

The finishing touch is the ornaments I found at Walmart for a $1. There are 4 or 5 different colors.

If you purchased the vintage ornaments or stocking print stamp sets, I think you would love the stocking and old fashioned ornament shape (3rd bag from left).

I purchased a couple of key ornaments thinking ahead to Valentine's Day! The key is in the bottom left below.

You might like the post below as well. I made gift bags yesterday using Giga Guidelines. After I posted I remembered the blog hop! I hope you are having a wonderful time with family and friends. Happy Thanksgiving to each of you!!!

Just Because - Magnolia DT sketch

I'm using Khaki Tilda for my November Magnolia-licious DT sketch.

I used several different papers along with my new favorite of adhesive cork. I needed a card I could mail without robbing the bank for all the extra postage so I choose to not add alot of embellishments.

I was excited to see that PTI's mixed messages and giga guide lines set both have Just Because as a sentiment. I used the large sentiment as the background on my SU Real Red paper. This was just the finishing touch that the card needed for balance.

Picking Lilacs Tilda

My blog candy arrived from Sharon at Gramma's House of Cards! Can you say jumping up and down excited!!! There were THREE Tilda's and some fabulous charms. I couldn't wait to start playing. My Copic Marker collection dictated my color selection. I think she would make a great birthday or thinking of you card.

I used my Polar White Flower Soft for the first time as well. Needless to say, a photo shows the places I missed so well! I can see why everyone likes this product so much. It was fun to use.

Big hugs to Sharon!!

Bread and Butter

I'm trying to get our homemade goodies ready for gift baskets. We had an abundance of cucumbers so Bob and I made Bread and Butter pickles.

The PTI 2009 Christmas tags made the chore very easy. Stamp, punch, and you are ready to go!

Red stickles add the perfect amount of glitz as the holly berries.

Just a Note!

My original concept was a notepad cover, but I'm always amazed at how the original idea changes. My color selection is based on the SPCC color challenge.

I recently made a custom bulletin board which left me with some extra adhesive cork. PTI's Take Note inspired my mini bulletin board idea for the card front. I cut the cork with Spellbinders Label One. I thought it turned out fun! I'm now imaging mini bulletin boards for dollhouses, cabinet doors, etc.

I used SU texture background plates on the yoyo yellow and melon mambo. I stamped the flower twice on SU - Not Quite Navy with PTI -Enchanted Evening ink. Inserted a brad and fluffed the petals.

Merry Merry! - Card Patterns Sketch #40

Do you have Tueday Morning stores in your area? I found a great Making Memories paper pack (6x6 48 sheets) for $2. The new sketch from Card Patterns showcases this fun paper beautifully!

I liked the paper so much I made two cards! The stamp set is a little dollar stamp from Michael's.

I colored the ornaments with my Copic Markers and added highlights with my Clear Star Spica pen.
My card for Sketch #40 is 5 1/4 by 5 1/4 base. I don't usually make this size, so it was a nice change. I added a pop dot to one of the ornaments to give the visual lift that was needed. The white yarn is from Hobby Lobby. It has a beautiful silver sparkle.

The green ribbon on the second card is PTI's spring moss twill that I stamped with the Merry Merry image.

Celebrate the Season! -

Does anyone else just love Spellbinder's Labels One? This set is a work horse. The largest die is the perfect size for a 4x4 card! I'm playing along with Pals Paper Arts color challenge this week.

The Christmas tree, snowflakes, and sentiment are all from PTI's Holiday Tree set. I embossed the snowflakes with white and over-stamped the tree with clear. The picture doesn't do justice to the shiny tree.

This card will be perfect for packages that need a lil hand-written note!

Soar! - Mojo Monday

Here is my entry for the Mojo Monday sketch challenge. There are alot of talented people playing this week for a chance to win a Verve stamp set.

I used PTI's Aqua Mist, Berry Sorbet, and Enchanted Evening cardstock paired with a floral from My Mind's Eye. My Copic Marker B99 worked great to color my prisma flower and brads for a coordinated look. The picture doesn't do justice to the Berry Sorbet! This is a gorgous color. I have had the verse stamp forever and don't know where it is from. I purchased it before the day of blogs!

Christmas Blessings to You and Yours

I had so much fun with my tag project. I am planning to give a set to each of my son's teachers with cookies and a gift card. Each box has 10 tags, 3 different styles. A gift that won't clutter their home and keeps on giving.

I used Spellbinders labels one for the large tag and the Spellbinders standard tag for the other two. The felt trees are from Hobby Lobby. They add such great dimension. The "to and from" are from PTI's 09 Holiday tag set. The little tree, snowman, and larger tree on the outside of the box are retired SU stamps. The sentiment outside the box I generated on the computer.

The box itself you might recognize if you order PTI stamps. I have re-used the plastic box for my packaging. I had a blast making the inside with the divided middle. I am so thankful for my Scor Pal. The red ornament paper is from Hobby Lobby. I used the frame from PTI's Take Note set to frame my outside label.

It feels really good to have these checked off my list!!

Stickle Organization

Are your stickles rolling around? Causing havoc in your drawers?
I just recently purchased my first ones. Yes, I'm late to the party but with my recent re-entry to stamping after a long hiatus you can only purchase so much. I created this handy storage idea. The 1" circle punch is the perfect size to use.

As I showed my sweet husband, his comment was "It seems like you have room for one more."  I'll take that as permission to purchase another. The storage box is from IKEA. It is only 3" deep so items like stickles and flower soft don't get lost!

Hope you are having a wonderful day. We are supposed to have at least a week of sunshine.
