On your Wedding Day

Hi Everyone!!! Have you recovered from chocolate overload yet? Today's card was a great challenge for me. I finally broke out the clear cardstock! I think next time I won't use glitter and clear cardstock on the same project. Can we talk about trying to photograph CLEAR with GLITTER?

Charmaine is kicking off a NEW challenge on  the Verve Forum! It's the Get Your Diva On Challenge! This time it is a photo inspiration. I was drawn to the circles, crystal, and silver place setting. I decided to use clear cardstock for my crystal and silver embossing. The pink butterfly is my nod to the many pinks in the photo.

The sentiment is stamped on vellum with brings me to another challenge. PTI Make It Mondays. This week the technique is stamping on vellum. My vellum has stripes which made hiding more adhesive easy. The inside panel is PTI Smokey Shadow. I stamped the Mr. & Mrs. with versamark.

The Crate Paper blog had this tutorial on paper flowers that I used to create something similiar. The silver chunky glitter was fun to play with and I'm sure I'm wearing plenty. I chose to die cut a piece of clear cardstock for the base of the flower. The embossing gave me the perfect places to hide adhesive.I also die cut a clear butterfly to give more depth to the pink butterfly.

Thanks for stopping by today!! We are enjoying 70 degree weather here which just begs for me to be outside. We planted our onions on Sunday and will probably plant potatoes by Friday. ~Rhonda

Be My Valentine M&M Sticks

Updated bag information: I am getting lots of questions on where to buy the bags for the M&M tubes. I purchased them from GT Bag Company at that time (2011) and more recently from Clear Bags R Us (thanks to Renee for sending me their direction). The bags are 1 x 8 lip and tape bags. Good luck with your projects.

Happy Valentine's Day Sweet Friends!!! I'm sending each of you a virtual M&M stick!!!! I made PLENTY as you will see. They just make me happy sitting on my desk. I keep arranging them in the glass containers. So today they will go to a Kindergarten classroom of the little boy that I mentor and my husband's office.

Aren't these tags the most adorable things? I put them on the PTI tag sale #1 which fit perfectly. The orange tag tube actually has skittles in it for the peanut allergy kids. The tags are a free download from Hello, Good Gravy!

I know there has been a lot of discussion of how to fill the plastic tube. The easiest way is NO funnel or anything. Just start putting them in the tube and they line themselves up. I can finish an M&M bag in 15 minutes which makes 17 tubes of 24 M&M's in each.

I only colored the little heart on each Tiny Treats image. I think it is enough.

Don't you just love the Valentine color M&M's???? I also used twine from The Twinery. There color selection matches so well.

Stay sweet and enjoy the day friends!!!! ~Rhonda

You keep me in stitches

As I was working on my stamp book and stamping the Quilters Sampler an idea appeared. Why not wrap the thread spool with twine from The Twinery? and then today there are the new button stamp sets that Nicole and Mish created that this would be perfect for. For the challenge today you are to make something with buttons but I hope this will work cuz its perfect for the little cards.

The sentiment is from Just Rite - Stitched with Love set.

Can't you just imagine making these little spools for a swap or crafty friend? or the new tags?

Make it Monday/Peeps Challenge

Hi Everyone!! (Waving) After the PTI Sunday stamping marathon with all the digi downloads I had to move AWAY from the STAMPS but not for too long.

One of the new PTI additions for this year is the Make It Mondays. A video that showcases a technique that you can do and then upload to facebook or twitter. This week the challenge was to bring your sentiments together in a collage fashion. I chose to focus on LOVE.

This worked perfectly for the current Papertrey Peeps challenge as well. Marinette challenged us to make a Valentine card using red or pink. Come play with us!!! ~Rhonda

Thinking of YOU!

Another project using the digi download from Papertrey Ink Designers for the anniversary celebration. This image was designed by Heather Nichols.

The newest tag die in what is sure to be a growing collection is perfect for a quick project. I'm so thankful that I have a Janome Sew Mini. Being able to reach it under my work desk means I use it a lot more. I think that is true with ALL tools.

Don't you love the new Blossom twine color from The Twinery? ~Rhonda

I never want to live without you

The sun is finally SHINING in Texas! We had additional snow last night but they promise that we will get to 40 degrees tomorrow so I'm eagerly planning a trip OUT of the house for lunch that someone else is preparing.

I used Verve's Text Objects for this sweet sentiment. The ticket is PTI's - Just the Ticket and die set.

I found the heart doily at my local Hobby Lobby. The heart button was in my red button jar. What a great surprise!

I'll leave you with a few snow pictures that I took this morning.

My OWN Stamp Book

We are on day THREE of being iced-in!! and 80+ hours of being below freezing. That allows for lots of stamping time. I decided to tackle a HUGE organization project that I was inspired to do by LeAnn. She has so many wonderful organization ideas in this post.

My OWN stamp book!!! Lots of pattern paper and homemade TABS!!!

I debated on what kind of book - cinch, wire rings, binder? I finally settled on the binder as I felt it would be easy to add more pages.

I used PTI's mini scrapbook series:tabs and die for the cutest dividers. I also die cut the clear plastic that the stamps arrive on so the white paper would have more protection. I matched the tab color to the paper! The letters for the tabs are PTI's simple alphabet.

I certainly don't have all my sets stamped yet but I am making progress. I have fallen "in love" with some oldies but goodies again and agree with LeAnn that having an accurate example of size helps so much when planning a project.

I have also found that I really like the pages stamped in brown ink better than the black. Just seems easier on the eyes.

I so hope you are staying warm wherever you are!! ~Rhonda

supplies used:
stamps: PTI - mini scrapbook series: tabs, simple alphabet
paper: stash
ink: various PTI colors
other: PTI tab die, clear plastic,

Howdy!

Do you have a cowpoke at your house? I have an 11 yr sweet friend that LOVES all things HORSE. The younger set usually doesn't get much mail which is a shame cause you know they love getting it. I like to pop something in the mail to this sweety occasionally. This will be perfect!

Why not do the same for someone you know. Let me know if you do. ~ Rhonda
